"Coffee For All" Netflix documentary

Elisabeth Cardiello’s mission lies at the intersection of coffee, conversation, community and confidence. Her desire to use coffee as a catalyst for change is helping organizations, leaders, entrepreneurs and families all over the world use conversation as a way to take better care of each other and unlock a deeper sense of trust, inclusion, resilience and wellbeing… over coffee.

The B.R.A.V.E. Framework™ and BRAVE Conversations are now being used by leaders at Fortune 100 companies, some of the country’s fastest growing start-ups, government agencies and police forces to provide a system, rooted in the science of psychological safety, to create cultures where people thrive.

Elisabeth’s thought leadership has been published by 100% Human at Work (powered by Virgin Unite and The B Team). Her contribution to their research paper on “The Future of the Workplace” can be obtained by shooting us an email! :)

Elisabeth is also an Instructor with Simon Sinek and speaks in the US and abroad on the topics of communication, confidence and community (over coffee, of course). Her family is still wondering where that shy nine year old went…

This infinitely curious, coffee loving, Brooklyn native had business cards at six and her first product on shelves at 13. After graduating from college, where she played Division 1 soccer, and business school with highest honors, she spent four years on Wall Street, dealt with loss and learned the meaning of post traumatic growth.

She started a coffee company called Caffè Unimatic, with an awe-inspiring story. You might have seen it in a Netflix documentary called “Coffee For All. Caffè Unimatic’s mission is to find good homes for the last original Unimatic drip-percolator coffee pots in the world. The Unimatics sitting on people’s stoves across the world have become a symbol of connection, inspiration, hope, and daily positive forward movement. It has inspired families to slow down, linger at the table and make time for the things that matter most.

Elisabeth went on to create a line of coffee, give two TEDx talks and co-found an education company to deploy the methodology designed to instill an unshakable sense of confidence and resilience in college-age women. The neuroscience science-based curriculum teaches the art and science of effective conversations, challenges them to ask better questions and models how to build safe, supportive, inclusive community.

Elisabeth has spent the better part of a decade preserving a legacy. In 2018, she combined her background in leadership and communication and passion for neuroscience with what she learned running her coffee company for almost a decade. The result was a series called “BRAVE Conversations Over Coffee®” that followed a research-based process that she created called The BRAVE Framework™.

The B.R.A.V.E. Framework™ and BRAVE Conversations are now being used by leaders at Fortune 100 companies, some of the country’s fastest growing start-ups, government agencies and police forces to build and improve culture.

“Coffee is something that doesn’t require language. People around the world find comfort in this daily ritual, which makes it the perfect catalyst for change. It’s something that has the power to connect us to others, as well as to ourselves, to our days and to the world we are here to serve. I didn’t enter the coffee industry on purpose, but after a decade of hearing “let’s go for coffee” when tough conversations were needed, it feels like my responsibility to use this universal platform to make a difference.”

-Elisabeth Cardiello

Since she was a child, Elisabeth has been interested in leadership, human development, connection and neuroscience.

The way she speaks about coffee as the global symbol of connection, inspiration, and the opportunity for positive forward movement might make you see your daily morning ritual as something much more.

This belief emanates from everything that Caffè Unimatic does, from their customer service, to their coffee line, to their empowerment of young women, to the way they’ve brought all of Elisabeth’s passions together to use coffee as a tool to create deeper human connection and trust.

Elisabeth is currently, head-over-heels about: the power of coffee as a ritual, the universal potential it has as an agent of change, as well as soccer, Crossfit, finding new ways to be brave and just about anything outdoorsy.

She’s famous for: asking hard questions, Disney-character-like facial expressions, and the coffee in her purse…
